The cool thing about this is that without the hat, and/or to a person who is not familiar with Zelda, this could just be a fashion outfit. When I first saw her, my brain was functioning as a fashion major, and not as a gamer, and I said to myself “That’s a cool dress..” Then I realized what I was REALLY looking at.

Nice photo – looks like fun. Some friends of mine that are deep into cosplay keep trying to get me to go to a con to take photos. One of these days….

You should try it. I myself have only dabbled in cosplay, but I find photographing it exciting and fascinating. I do sew, so it seems like I should be a huge cosplayer, but now the compulsion to photograph is so strong that I don’t know if I want the attention of having my own costume.

yes! i love how wearable this is. there’s so much room for creativity in fandom-inspired fashion…and so few sewing skills required.
